Step 01
Plan the area
Type the length and width, or walk it with Pace it when you have no tape. Mostline rates the area and marks whatever doesn't fit as too big.
Sports field marking for iPhone
Got free ground and a tape measure? Mostline fits official fields into your area and tells you where every line goes, one measurement at a time.
[ How it works ]
Measure your area once. Mostline does the geometry and leaves you with a list of distances you can follow with a tape.

Step 01
Type the length and width, or walk it with Pace it when you have no tape. Mostline rates the area and marks whatever doesn't fit as too big.

Step 02
Drag a field into place, turn it to any angle, add more. Sizes stay proportional to the official ones, so nothing ends up stretched.

Step 03
Follow the steps on the grass, then send the plan as a PDF or an image to whoever is helping you set up on match day.
[ On the grass ]
Each step tells you what to mark, how far it is and which stake to measure from. Tap Done and the next line lights up on the map. Your progress is saved after every step, so you can stop and pick up later.
[ Formats ]
Enter your area and see what you could mark on it. This is the same check the app runs, with the run-off zone included.
[ Materials and export ]
Mostline counts the cones for each field and adds up every line, then works out how much paint you need from your line width, coverage and coats. Open the cone plan to see where each one goes.
Example from a two-field site on a 62 × 30 m Orlik, with cones every 5 m.

No. There is no sign-up, and the app makes no network requests. It works on a field with no signal, including the first launch.

A tape measure, plus cones, stakes or line paint. Mostline calculates and shows the instructions. It doesn't measure anything by itself.
Use Pace it on the Your area step to count your steps and estimate a side. You can calibrate your step length in Settings. For the marking itself, a tape gives you straight, square lines.
