Getting started
After the start screen and three intro pages, iOS asks about notifications. Either answer is fine. Tips then point at the main buttons as you go. To see them again, open Settings and tap Show tutorial again.
On Sites, tap the orange + to create your first site. Templates such as Orlik · 62 × 30 m or School hall · 40 × 20 m fill in the size for you.
Your area and field sizes
The area can be from 5 to 300 m on each side. No tape to hand? Tap Pace it, then tap once per step. Set your own step length in Settings.
Formats marked TOO BIG need more room than you have, once the run-off zone around the field is counted. You can change the run-off in Settings, under Cones, paint and run-off. Field sizes are only ever scaled in proportion: Small, Official, Large or Max fit.
Editing the layout
Open a site and tap Edit, then tap a field to select it. The left corner handle moves it and the right one turns it to any angle. Pinch or twist anywhere to zoom or rotate the view, and double-tap to reset it.
Use the tabs below the plan: Fields to add, duplicate or delete, Size for presets, Rotate for exact angles, View to choose which labels show. Cancel undoes everything since you opened the editor. A site holds up to 12 fields.
Marking step by step
Tap Start marking. Each step shows a distance and where to measure from. Tap Done for the next step, swipe right to go back, or open the list button to jump to any step.
Tap 3-4-5 on a corner step to check a right angle. Your progress saves after every step, so you can close the app and tap Continue marking later. When you finish, Mark again starts over.
Cones, paint and materials
On the site screen, tap Materials to see cones per field and in total, the length of every line and how much paint you need. Change the cone spacing or paint values and the totals update. Open cone plan shows where each cone goes.
Exporting and sharing a plan
Tap Export on a site. Choose PDF, with toggles for dimensions, cone numbers, materials and marking steps, and Preview to page through it. Or choose Image and pick which labels to show. Share opens the iOS share sheet.
iOS asks for permission to add to Photos only if you choose Save Image there. If you declined, you can turn it on in iOS Settings under Mostline, Photos.
Settings and reminders
Settings holds Units (metres or feet), Cones, paint and run-off, Step length, Keep screen on, Sound, Haptics and Reminders. Reminders is a single local notification 24 hours after you last closed the app. If it never arrives, check that notifications are allowed for Mostline in iOS Settings.
Your data and moving to a new iPhone
Sites live only on your iPhone, with no account and no cloud sync of our own. A deleted site can be restored with Undo right after you delete it. Deleting the app removes all sites, and we can't recover them. To keep a copy of a plan, export it as a PDF. More in the Privacy Policy.
Still stuck?
Write to support@mostline.info and include your iPhone model, your iOS version and the app version from Settings. A screenshot of the site or step helps a lot.
